The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), has mentioned that Fulani herdsmen weren’t accountable for the killing of the Catholic priest of St James the Higher Parish, Ugbawka, Enugu State on Thursday.
The group mentioned it was a part of safety and peace committee in Enugu State, therefore, it was sure to manage its members and ensures that criminals don’t infiltrate its members conducting their enterprise of cow rearing.
Chairman of MACBAN in South East, Alhaji Giddado Siddiki, in a press release on Saturday mentioned: “Once more, our hearts bleed over probably the most dastardly homicide of a Catholic priest, Reverend Father Paul Offu, of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu.
“That is one murder too many! It’s most condemnable and heartily regretted.
“Once more, our society aches because of the actions of criminals who care much less concerning the worth of human life.
