Mob sets man ablaze over N45k mobile phone

A mob, throughout the weekend, roasted a but to be recognized middle-aged man alive for allegedly stealing a cellphone estimated at N45,000 in Mushin space of Lagos.

The deceased, alleged to be a lone robbery suspect , reportedly entered an condominium at 19 Olorunshogu Avenue, Mushin, the place he collected the cellphone and sneaked out at about 6.30pm.

A feminine tenant mentioned to have seen him with a Samsung Galaxy cellphone, raised the alarm which alerted residents. Eye witnesses mentioned that the suspect initially denied the allegation, stating somewhat that he misplaced his approach. He later admitted , blaming his indulgence on starvation.

His passionate plea for forgiveness fell on deaf ears as he was overwhelmed to a pulp and set ablaze earlier than the arrival of policemen from Space ‘ D’ command.

Spokesman for the Lagos State Police command, Olarinde Well-known-Cole, who confirmed the incident, mentioned that one individual had been arrested in reference to the mob motion.

He gave the id of the arrested suspect as Isiaka Kolawole, including that he was being interrogated on the Murder part of the State Felony Investigation and Intelligence Division. SCIID, Yaba.
